Thanks everyone for riding the crazy wave of emotions with me last week.
Yesterday E had a new friend over! We had two huge boxes they played with for over an hour, and then we made cookie cutter cookies for me to take to the women tomorrow night. It was a very promising sort of day.
I also think I finished the final tweaks on the next manuscript I'd like to submit. I've been dragging my feet in fear.
This is a crazy week trying to do two weeks of work in one so that I can spend time with my family over school vacation. So... here I go... Best of luck to all of you in the same boat!

Monday Morning Warm-Up:
This is a two-part exercise. First, start with describing in as much detail as possible your least-favorite childhood holiday memory.* Give yourself about 5 minutes. When you're done, describe in as much detail your favorite childhood holiday memory. Again, give yourself about 5 minutes. If you aren't up for this, try creating these memories for the main character in your Work-In-Progress. What sort of holiday memories do you think he or she might have (good and not-so-good)?
*This sounds cruel, I know. But I think it's good practice to harness those emotions and put them on paper. I did end with a positive memory to help deflate the negative. Don't hate me!
